Career BreakHQYOUR NEXT CHAPTER

THE FINANCE LIBRARY

You know the work.
Meet the new tools.

Start with what changed, practise a familiar task, then show what you actually did.

01

What’s changed?

AI assistants can now help with spreadsheet analysis, first drafts and document summaries. The exact tools vary by employer. Your responsibility for accuracy, confidentiality and professional judgement remains.

02

What might you use?

ChatGPT can work with spreadsheet files. Microsoft Copilot can draft inside Outlook. We use these as concrete examples because their documented features fit the tasks, not because one tool is right for every workplace.

03

How do you show it?

Keep a small practice sample: the input, your prompt, the output and your checks. Explain it as self-directed practice, not a client engagement or a qualification.

Before you start

Use only our synthetic examples. Never upload confidential employer or client information without approval. Tool access, limits and prices vary; the library is free, but third-party tools may require an account or paid features. No purchase is needed for the spreadsheet-only reporting path.

Pick one task.

Short, practical exercises. Work at your own pace.

A DIFFERENT FIELD?

We’ll build from real needs.

Finance is the only field available today. We’ll use genuine reader requests and engagement to decide what comes next. There are no made-up popularity rankings or finished libraries hiding behind “coming soon”.
